Teresa's First Blogaversary Hop!

Hello to all our crafty friends! We have a great blog hop for you today. A little over a year ago Teresa began this new blog to celebrate the fact she wanted a change in her life. And for that change to be permanent came lots of prayer and leaning on God to give the right answers. The answers He needed to give not the answers Teresa desired. Well here we are 1 year later and Teresa is a Stay at Home Wife loving life and doing all she needs to do to create a warm, loving atmosphere for her family!
So thanks for joining us today...Teresa asked all the participants to create something that represented a change in their life...So hop on along.
If you found me first, then head on over to Teresa's and start from there - http://freshandrenewed.blogspot.com/2013/01/teresas-blogaversary-blog-hop.html/

You should be coming from Miranda's.

For my project, I wanted to do something reflective of my New Year's Resolutions. My resolution is to get in shape. I know this is something people try to do and struggle with every year, myself included. So I needed something that would scream at me every day, Dr. Pepper 10 not Dr. Pepper!

I made Lbs To Go and Lbs Lost counters. They are bright and fun and it will be even more fun to see the stones move from the To Go vase to the Lost vase!

Here are close ups of the vases:

As an extra incentive I added these gems randomly throughout the vase with a bigger one at the bottom. Every time I get to one I'll treat myself with something like a new cartridge or new tool or something!!

You next stop is Michele!

Thanks!!
Sarah Mae

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - My Cricut Craft Room

Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Would You Ever Guess Wednesday and the theme was to use a Cricut cut to make a food item.
I have several carts with things that would work well for food items, like the Treat Boxes that are shaped like pie slices, things like that.
But, I've been playing with my Artiste cart a lot lately and I found a cut that is just so adorable I have to share!

I made a basket of strawberries!

The cuts were actually really easy to put together for how small I cut them at.

For this I used:

The basket and strawberries are both from the Artiste cart. Basket cut at 3.25" and strawberries cut at 2.25".
The basket paper is Recollections and the strawberries are all from the DCWV halloween mat stack from this year - really bright fun colors!
I put the strawberries together with a brad going through each layer, it was a little tricky but the best way I found to keep them together while being so small. My fingers are small so that probably made it a little easier too. The leaves are just attatched with glue dots to the the top.

Now head on over toMy Cricut Craft Room and see what my DT Sisters have been up to!

Theme Day Thursday - My Cricut Craft Room

Today at My Cricut Craft Room we made 3D carnations!
I wasn't sure how to approach this other than making tissue paper flowers so I started googling. I found a post from MCCR from early in 2012 by Shelley HERE is her post.

I cut scalloped circles from the Lite Lovely Floral cart. I did 9 circles each and then put them on pipe cleaners (I could only find white ones).
Eventually they will find themselves on the corner of a ribbon or bulletin board, but for now,

Here are close ups of a couple of the flowers

I cut them at 3, 3.5 and 4 inches. Then I sprayed them with a mister and crunched them up and dried them with my heat tool.
The paper I used is My Mind's Eye.

Be sure to visit My Cricut Craft Room and see what my DT sisters have come up with!!

Thanks!
