Then she had me make cute little favor boxes for her to give out at work.

Sweet Tooth Boxes

Stamps:

Here is the write up that Michele did for her hop!!!

Hello and welcome to my first blog hop in honor of my 1st year of blogging! I have participated in tons of hops and have seen so many cute ideas and new techniques so I decided to create one of my own! I consider it my diary. It's fun to look back at the projects I created a year ago and know now what I could have done differently to make it awesome! If you don't have a blog, now is a great time to start one! It's super easy and a great way to share your talent with friends, family and www friends you make along the way! Best of all...it's free!

I have an amazing "present" up for grabs ~ all you have to do is visit each of the blogs below, become a follower and leave a comment. A winner will be chosen on Wednesday 1/2/13!

The following ladies have graciously shared their time with me today and have some fabulous projects to share with you so lets get hoppin'!!!

Happy New Year ~ Hope it's the best one ever!

My Imagination Monday - My Cricut Craft Room

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Today at My Cricut Craft Room the theme was to use nativity elements.
I didn't really want to just make a card, but neither did I really want to make a whole nativity scene.
So I sort of did both.

From the side:

For this I used:

The images are from A Quilted Christmas. The manger is cut at 1.75" and Mary, Joseph, and the angel are cut at 2.75".
The stair steps paper is 5.5x10.5inches.
I used my Scor Pal and scored at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6, and 8.25.
The I inked the edges of the folds that show from the front with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - My Cricut Craft Room

Today at My Cricut Craft Room the theme is to make a calendar or advent.

My project was to make an advent and I got the idea for my project from THIS blog.
I wanted to make something cute but easy to display.

I bought a 24" wreath from Michaels, got a roll of silver curly ribbon, pulled out my Art Philosophy cart, and got to work!
All the papers are K&Company. I'm pretty sure I bought ever Christmas stack they had this year (a couple of them I loved so much I bought 2)!

Here they are on the mat to show size perspective.

The boxes are cut at 3.25" and the numbers (I know they're kind of hard to see but I loved the paper) are cut at 1.5"
I was able to cut 9 boxes to a 12x12 sheet
I hole punched the corners (when they were flat) and then tied the ribbon through. After I curled the ribbon I tied them into the wreath.
Here is how it turned out:

Here's a little closer look at some:

New Challenge at Stamping with the Dragon!

I Heard a Bird Sing
by
Oliver Herford

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.

"We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,"
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.

This week over at Stamping with the Dragon the challenge is I Heard a Bird Sing. Also this week we are using digis from the Stamping Dragon Designs store because your prize this week is a voucher for the store.

For this challenge I was really excited that the store has a cardinal digi because not only does it just scream Christmas they are my mom's absolute favorite bird. On the weekends when she isn't busy she will fill up the bird feeder in the back yard and just sit on the rocker and read while the birds come and go. There's a little cardinal that lives somewhere in the neighborhood and he will sit just a couple feet away from her and hold a conversation with her. He's a brave little cardinal because he will stay on lower surfaces even when my cats are in the yard (granted most of the birds realize they really aren't a threat).
So I made this card with the mind to give it to my mom!

*Sorry the picture is a little blurry, my camera battery is dead and I couldn't find the charger so I was using my phone. And while supposedly the camera in it is good, it's really hard to hold it steady enough to focus.*

For this I used:
The image is from the Stamping Dragon Designs store.
He is colored with Copic Markers.
The background is from a K&Company Christmas stack.
The punch is EK Success.
The sentiment is Mae Sunshine Designs inked with Memento Tuxedo Black.
The ribbon is raffia from Joann.
The buttons are Favorite Findings from Joann.
And, the ink is Barn Door Distress Ink.

Thanks!!

Card Creating Tuesday - My Cricut Craft Room

Whew it's been a busy couple weeks, between work and finals and family it's been hard to find time to craft!
Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Card Creating Tuesday!
For my project I had to create a Christmas card with a licensed cart.

I wasn't sure what to do for this so I started googling with the terms cricut, christmas, and pooh/mickey/etc. Well on one of the searches I found this cute little snowman and turns out he is in the Pooh and Friends cart on one of the Eeyore pages. I had never seen him before!!

For this I used:
Pooh and Friends for the Snowman.
The card base is the postage stamp card from Art Philosophy.
The button 'snowflakes' are Favorite Findings from Joann.
The glitter glue is Stickles Crystal.
The edges are inked with Picket Fence Distress Stain
The sentiment is Mae Sunshine Designs inked in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Don't forget to go over to My Cricut Craft Room and see what my DT sisters have come up with for today!!!

Thanks!!

100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop - My Cricut Craft Room

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning

Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's 100 cartridge Blog hop!
Collectively the design team uses over 100 different Cricut Cartridges in their projects during the hop.

The cartridges that I exclusively used for the hop are:
Flower Shoppe
Joys of the Season
Hoot 'n' Holler
Straight from the Nest

I used several others but I have used one of these in each project!

My first project uses Flower Shoppe (cut at 3", 2.5" and 2"), Something to Celebrate (the box is at fit to page and the insert is at 6.5"), and Mickey and Friends (cut at 4")

The next one uses Hoot 'n' Holler (cut at 2"), and CM Holiday Frames and Tags (cut at 3.5").
The stamps are K Andrew Designs inked with Paris Dusk Memento.

The next one uses Straight from the Nest ((the swirl) cut at 1.25"), and CM Holiday Frame and Tags (cut at 3.5").
The stamp is Mae Sunshine Designs inked with Paris Dusk Memento.

My last project I got the idea from a friend at work talking about a greeting card she loved but can't find anymore.
It uses Joys of the Season (the ornaments are at .75" and the garland at .50"), Ashlyn's Alphabet (crown at .75"), Teresa Collins December 25th (tree at 3"), and New Testament (cut at 3")
The sentiments I typed and printed. The leaves on the inside are from the MS holly leaves punch (I forgot to cut leaves and it was quicker).
