Walking around campus in the middle of the day it hot. My university has one of the most spread out consecutive campuses in the country. What that really means is that in Texas we believe in really big roads..everywhere. If you just took out the roads I'm pretty sure it would shrink by at least half if not two thirds. It is actually very beautiful, especially now that the leaves are starting to turn wonderful fall colors. Most of the buildings are done in a Spanish style with terra cotta tile roofs, there are huge lawns just about everywhere, and it's all very sprawling to the eye. That being said, when buildings are more than a 10 minute walk from each other, it's hot.
As I'm still waiting for Fall to arrive, I needed to make another fall card.
The image is from Stampin' with the Dragon, Jiggy with Leaves, that I colored with Promarkers and Copics. The next layer is kraft inked with Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress inks then embossed with a Sizzix folder, fall fence, and then inked again with Tea Dye and Vintage Photo. The base layer is a patterned paper from the Recollections all seasons stack. The ribbon is from my stash, the twine is Doodlebug. The leaf punches are Martha Stewart.
