It's super easy and a great way to share your talent with friends, family and www friends you make along the way! Best of all...it's free!

I have an amazing "present" up for grabs ~ all you have to do is visit each of the blogs below, become a follower and leave a comment. A winner will be chosen on Wednesday 1/2/13!

The following ladies have graciously shared their time with me today and have some fabulous projects to share with you so lets get hoppin'!!!

My Imagination Monday - My Cricut Craft Room

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Today at My Cricut Craft Room the theme was to use nativity elements.
I didn't really want to just make a card, but neither did I really want to make a whole nativity scene.
So I sort of did both.

From the side:

For this I used:

The images are from A Quilted Christmas. The manger is cut at 1.75" and Mary, Joseph, and the angel are cut at 2.75".
The stair steps paper is 5.5x10.5inches.
I used my Scor Pal and scored at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6, and 8.25.
The I inked the edges of the folds that show from the front with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Be sure to head over to My Cricut Craft Room and see what my DT sisters have come up with!!!

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday - My Cricut Craft Room

Today at My Cricut Craft Room the theme is to make a calendar or advent.

My project was to make an advent and I got the idea for my project from THIS blog.
I wanted to make something cute but easy to display.

I bought a 24" wreath from Michaels, got a roll of silver curly ribbon, pulled out my Art Philosophy cart, and got to work!
All the papers are K&Company. I'm pretty sure I bought ever Christmas stack they had this year (a couple of them I loved so much I bought 2)!

Here they are on the mat to show size perspective.

The boxes are cut at 3.25" and the numbers (I know they're kind of hard to see but I loved the paper) are cut at 1.5"
I was able to cut 9 boxes to a 12x12 sheet
I hole punched the corners (when they were flat) and then tied the ribbon through. After I curled the ribbon I tied them into the wreath.
Here is how it turned out:

Here's a little closer look at some:

New Challenge at Stamping with the Dragon!

I Heard a Bird Sing
by
Oliver Herford

I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.

"We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,"
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.

This week over at Stamping with the Dragon the challenge is I Heard a Bird Sing. Also this week we are using digis from the Stamping Dragon Designs store because your prize this week is a voucher for the store.

For this challenge I was really excited that the store has a cardinal digi because not only does it just scream Christmas they are my mom's absolute favorite bird. On the weekends when she isn't busy she will fill up the bird feeder in the back yard and just sit on the rocker and read while the birds come and go. There's a little cardinal that lives somewhere in the neighborhood and he will sit just a couple feet away from her and hold a conversation with her. He's a brave little cardinal because he will stay on lower surfaces even when my cats are in the yard (granted most of the birds realize they really aren't a threat).
So I made this card with the mind to give it to my mom!

*Sorry the picture is a little blurry, my camera battery is dead and I couldn't find the charger so I was using my phone. And while supposedly the camera in it is good, it's really hard to hold it steady enough to focus.*

For this I used:
The image is from the Stamping Dragon Designs store.
He is colored with Copic Markers.
The background is from a K&Company Christmas stack.
The punch is EK Success.
The sentiment is Mae Sunshine Designs inked with Memento Tuxedo Black.
The ribbon is raffia from Joann.
The buttons are Favorite Findings from Joann.
And, the ink is Barn Door Distress Ink.

Thanks!!

Card Creating Tuesday - My Cricut Craft Room

Whew it's been a busy couple weeks, between work and finals and family it's been hard to find time to craft!
Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Card Creating Tuesday!
For my project I had to create a Christmas card with a licensed cart.

I wasn't sure what to do for this so I started googling with the terms cricut, christmas, and pooh/mickey/etc. Well on one of the searches I found this cute little snowman and turns out he is in the Pooh and Friends cart on one of the Eeyore pages. I had never seen him before!!

For this I used:
Pooh and Friends for the Snowman.
The card base is the postage stamp card from Art Philosophy.
The button 'snowflakes' are Favorite Findings from Joann.
The glitter glue is Stickles Crystal.
The edges are inked with Picket Fence Distress Stain
The sentiment is Mae Sunshine Designs inked in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Don't forget to go over to My Cricut Craft Room and see what my DT sisters have come up with for today!!!

Theme Day Thursday - My Cricut Craft Room

Today at My Cricut Craft Room is Theme Day Thursday. It's also Thanksgiving here in the U.S. So I found todays theme very inspiring and appropriate.

The theme is F.R.O.G.
Which stands for Fully Rely on God, and Forever Rely on God.

Thanksgiving has been a hard day for me ever since my Dad's parents have passed away. My grandma was my favorite person in the whole world. And Thanksgiving was one of the best days because it meant I was able to spend the whole week leading up to it with her helping her cook. We always had so much fun! I miss her every day.
My Mom's family are farmers so Thanksgiving is right in the middle of stripping time (cotton). Which is why we usually didn't see them for this holiday, it just kind of seemed pointless to go out there to only have a meal with them and then be stuck with the clean up.
Well last year my grandma had a cerebral hemorrhage (a bleed in her brain). And then earlier this year my grandpa was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Neither of them are the same and the entire family is tense every time we get together. And honestly it stresses me out to think about all 26 of us being in one house together packed in like sardines.
It's hard for me to feel thankful about my family I still have at this time of the year when I miss my family that's gone so very much.
But, then I remember that I have promised to F.R.O.G. and that every thing will be fine. My grandma will be happy to see everyone and thats what really matters.

On to my project:

Here's a close up of the flowers, I thought they were soooooo cute!!

And a close up of the verse. I love this verse. Nehemiah 8:10.

For this I used:

The card base (5.75in), flowers (1.5in), and ticket shape (1in) are from Art Philosophy.
The frog (2.5in) is from Create a Critter.
And, the banner (1in) is from Pretty Pennants.
The sentiment is K Andrew Designs inked with Memento Tuxedo Black.
The letters on the banner I just wrote in.
The glitter glue is all Recollections 'stickles.'
The Distress Inks I used are Dusty Concord (on the flowers), Peeled Paint (on the frog) and Vintage Photo (on the card base).
The ribbon (that's mostly hidden, lol) I dyed with Pewter Distress Stain then twisted it and tied the ends.

Be sure to head over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what my DT sisters have come up with!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Craft Your Passion #137 - Scraps

This week at Craft Your Passion the Challenge is to use up some of those scraps we know everybody has tons of!!
I love scraps challenges. It's always a little bit difficult to find that one paper you know you have a scrap of and you know will look perfect with the image you want to use!
Speaking of images, this week we have 2 sponsors. I was lucky enough to get to work with an image from Stitchy Bear! One winner will win a gift voucher to their store!!

Here's my inspiration:

For this I used:
The image is Hunter Bubu from Stitchy Bear!
He is colored with Copic Markers.
The solid papers are Recollections, I think. (Do you see the strip of Kraft, I didn't have one wide enough to use as a full mat, go figure).
The patterned I believe is from DCWV Old World stack.
The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers inked with Memento Rich Cocoa.
The hemp cord is a scrap too being a remnant from another project. I glued it on and then inked it and the edges of the papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Thanks!!

Mickey Mouse Day at My Cricut Craft Room

Today is all about Mickey Mouse at My Cricut Craft Room. We were asked to share our Mickey projects, either new or old. When I was looking through projects I discovered that I haven't actually ever cut a Mickey out! So here's my new project!!

For this project I used:

Mickey is from Mickey and Friends. All of Mickey is cut at 4 inches.
Mickey's hat is from Teddy Bear Parade (I cut down one end because it was a little too long). His hat is cut at 3.5 inches (I think, I forgot to write it down.)
His had has an iridescent white Scribblers as faux fur.
The Christmas scene is from Joys of the season. The fireplace is cut at 3 inches. The stockings at 1.5 inches. The tree at 3.5 inches.
The stockings and tree have red Recollections 'stickles.' The star has gold.
The Mickey head gem stickers are EK Success.
The sentiment is from Cardz TV. Inked with Memento Rich Cocoa.
The label is an EK Success punch.
I used a Fiskars edge punch on the cream layer.
The ribbon I dyed and crinkled with Barn Door Distress Ink. (Seam binding rayon ribbon. I laid it across the ink pad and used my dauber on top of the ribbon to push down. I saturated some areas more than others to give an aged look.)
The papers are all Recollections.
Every layer is inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Have a Mickey filled Day! Be sure to head over to My Cricut Craft Room to see what my DT sisters have come up with!!

Thanks!!

My Cricut Craft Room - Card Creating Tuesday

Hi friends! So I have the great honor to be a part of the My Cricut Craft Room Design Team, yay!
Today is my first post. It's Tuesday so it's Card Creating Tuesday and the theme is a card you would read with a child.

I had my mind on kids so I pulled out my Tinkerbell and Friends cartridge, but instead of cutting one of the characters I decided to use this swirly sun image!
Here's my project:

Here's a close up of the cute sun:

For this project I used:

The sun is from Tinkerbell and Friends.
The border is from Paper Lace 2.
The patterned paper is The Paper Studio and the solids are from my stash.
The sentiment is My Craft Spot inked with Memento Tuxedo Black.
The ticket punch is EK Success.
The flowers are recollections and the buttons are from my button jar.
Both I attached with glue dots.
The sun and ticket are on foam squares.
The glitter glue is Recollections 'stickles.'
